FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why does the filtered water contain black impurities, mainly after inserting a new filter?
When a new filter is inserted in the tank, it may happens that black particles appear in the filtered water. It is not a sign of microbiological problems, it’s the activated carbon dust that comes out of the new filter. We recommend flushing the new filter before brewing the new coffee.
When does Savipure has to be replaced?
Saviplure is made to last 3 months or 5000 cups. It guarantees a high level of water purity during its lifetime.
Does Savipure remove bacteria?
The silver impregnated activated carbon contained in the filter removes chemical agents, pollutants, pesticides, bad tastes, odours anche prevent from bacterial growth. It makes the water purer.

Why the ion-exchange resin is important for the best functioning of the machine?
The ion-exchange resin traps the minerals, mostly calcium and magnesium, that cause water hardness. In fact, as water passes through the tiny beads of resin, magnesium and calcium ions are attracted to the resin surface. In exchange for the removed ions, small quantities of sodium particles are introduced into the water, softening it. Reducing the hardness of the water helps maintaining the coffee machine in the best conditions.
When does Savipure has to be replaced?
Saviplure is made to last 3 months or 5000 cups. It guarantees a high level of water purity during its lifetime.
